Cabin Crew Hawaiian Airlines Honolulu Hawaii

Hawaiian Airlines is looking for cabin crew to be based in Honolulu, HI.

Minimum requirements:
  • Must be 21 years old at the time of application
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, such as an H-1B visa, by Hawaiian Airlines
  • Must have a high school diploma, or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to relocate to the state of Hawaii or the continental United States
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently
  • Must have a vertical reach of 82 inches
  • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to secure applicable visas for travel to countries served by Hawaiian Airlines
  • Must successfully complete an FAA-approved, unpaid eight-week intensive training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines
  • Must demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively diffuse and resolve difficult customer situations
  • Must be able to work effectively with other colleagues to deliver a high level of customer service to Hawaiian Airlines guests
  • Must be able to secure and unsecure main cabin doors, requires power grasping (counter-balanced doors weigh between 91-126 pounds/41.3-57.2 kilograms)
  • Satisfactorily complete annual FAA-approved re-certification provided by Hawaiian Airlines
  • Must possess the ability to learn and maintain current knowledge and competency of emergency procedures in accordance with Hawaiian and FAA’s Regulations
  • Must present a professional image. May not have visible body art (including tattoos), facial, multiple or upper ear piercing, gauge piercings, or extreme hair color or style while wearing a Hawaiian Airlines standard uniform piece (short-sleeved shirt or blouse), including but not limited to the neck area and above, any visible areas with arms lifted above the head, or any visible areas while in a crouching position. Covering tattoos with makeup or bandages is not acceptable.
  • Must be able to be present to work alternative schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in climates and locations across the globe and work variable shifts
  • Must be able to fly at high altitudes
  • Must be able to lift and store carry-on baggage and items (weighing between 18-35 pounds/8.2-15.9 kilograms) to overhead bins or underneath seats, and remove items from overhead bins or underneath seats for guests
  • Must be able to push and pull beverage carts, weighing up to 250 pounds/113.4 kilograms, which may require 40-45 pounds/18.1-20.4 kilograms of push/pull force to maneuver
  • Must obtain a tuberculosis (TB) clearance
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test*
  • Must possess the legal right to travel from all countries served by Hawaiian Airlines
  • Must possess travel documents that are valid throughout all phases of training and employment

*DOT regulations, 14 CFR part 120 identifies this position as performing safety-sensitive functions. You will be required to undergo DOT pre-employment drug testing to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine) and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR four years of customer contact and customer service issue resolution with the general public in industries such as retail, education, health care, and/or professional services
  • College education or degree
